I Was Nominated For The Blogger Recognition Award

Hayley Martin aka nominated me for the blogger recognition reward. This means so much to me because I've never been recognized with an award for my blog. It really inspires me to keep on doing what I'm doing.

So basically for the blogger recognition reward there are rules, the rules include...

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
2.Write a post to show your award!
3.Give a brief story of how your blog started.
4.Share two pieces of advice for new bloggers!
5.Choose 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
6.Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them. Provide the link to the post you created.

So let's get started.

How I started my blog
One day I was searching the internet not even knowing what I'm doing, and I came across blogger. And I was like, "oh you can create your own blog". And so I started my blog back when I was in 8th grade. I was 13 at the time, so I started very young. I was into Japanese culture back then so I wrote about that, and my blog was very small. It was mostly family members who read it, and as time went on it grew, and my interests changed. So now I'm here today writing fashion, and lifestyle posts.

Advice for new bloggers
1) Don't compare yourself to bigger bloggers. This one is tough when you're first starting out because you're like, "this person is in Paris right now with 317 thousand Instagram followers, how on earth am I supposed to beat that". And let's be real here, it takes a lot of work to reach stuff like that. So just don't stress out over what other people have that you don't have, a lot of those bigger bloggers have been going at it for years, and they have had their own techniques and experiences to grow from. Don't worry about all that, just focus on yourself.

2)Get involved with the blogging community. The blogging community is very nice. Everyone is so sweet to each other, and it will make a positive impact on you. It's also cool to see other people's content, and their cute photos. I didn't get involved in the blogging community until this summer break. It was really this summer break when everything took off. I really started working hard at my blog, and getting involved with other people's blogs. And now it has payed off, and I'm really loving all the love and support from everyone. So thank you guys so much.

Who I nominate
I love how Sarah is a highschool blogger just like me. She's put a lot of work into her blog, and hasn't had as many people as she would like to read it. So I would love to nominate her.

I love Sara's photos, and outfits. They are so adorable, and she's really pretty. She is really inspiring, and her photos are just awesome.

I just love Viola's if we were having coffee series, it's really awesome. So I think she needs to be recognized for how awesome that series is!

I just love the positive energy that Patricia spreads, her blog really inspires me to improve on myself. I also love her photography!

I love Elle's blog, and Instagram. I just love her style, and her photos of London are so pretty!

I just love her outfits, they are so girly and feminine. Her style is really nice, and I enjoy her blog posts a lot.

I just love Carrie's outfits, they are adorable. She just has the most gorgeous photos ever!

Oh my gosh guys where do I begin. I just love Lizzy's outfits, and photography. I just can't get enough of her photos because they are so gorgeous.

She is a another blogger my age, and she has amazing content. I think she deserve's more recognition, because she's a great writer. One of her posts made me tear up a little bit because it was so well written. So hats off to her.

I love all her posts about beauty on her blog, and I really like how she keeps it real.

I love Taylor's blog. It's very motivational, and that is much needed when it is Monday. So I enjoy he motivational Monday series. I also love her outfits.

I like Paulien's blog, I really enjoy how it's like a little diary. And can I just mention that new hair cut, it looks so good. But for real her blog is really cute.

I love Sophie's blog. I love all of her outfits, her style is just so cute! I also enjoy how she is realistic on her blog when it needs to be.

Olivia's outfits are just so adorable. She never fails to have the cutest photos, and her blog posts are awesome.

Having A Hard Time Finding The Perfect Mascara?

Mascara bin

Hey guys, I'm sure a lot of you or all of you have had a hard time finding the perfect mascara. Do you know that feeling when you're just looking for new mascara, but you don't really know which one is good, so you just choose a random one? Because that is literally the definition of me. When I need to change out my mascara I find myself strolling down the mascara aisle not knowing which one to choose. Then I just kind of choose whatever one sounds good. So that's why I'm here to tell you about an awesome mascara guide that can help you out the next time you need mascara. And I also want to tell you what mascaras I've been using. emailed me, and told me about their mascara guide. I checked it out, and now I have a better ideas of what mascara to buy next time I need new mascara. I thought I would help all of us out by doing a post about their guide. Basically they did the ultimate research on the best mascara. They put in 45 hours of research, interviewed 4 experts, did 10,000 test blinks, and tested 15 products. And they came up with good results. They found the top mascaras, and you can check them out on their page. You know what I find interesting is that smaller wands lengthen your lashes more than thicker wands, I didn't know that. So hey you learn new things everyday.

Scandal eyes retro glam

So now onto what mascaras I use. I do my top, and bottom lashes when I do wear makeup. On my top lashes I wear the scandal eyes retro glam. Honestly I don't really have a preference when it comes to the mascara I wear, but this mascara gives me length, so I like it.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascra

For my bottom lashes I almost always do the Maybelline great lash mascara. I like how the wand is small, and gives it that subtle pop that you need. I've used mine so much that the sticker has come off of it, so that's how you know it's a good mascara. This would be the one mascara that I recommend the most because it really gives you a natural, and beautiful look.

Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Waterproof Mascara

If I decide that I need a little pop while going swimming I use the Maybelline mega plush volume waterproof mascara. When I go swimming I almost always wear no makeup, but sometimes I do decide to put on this mascara. It has pretty good coverage, and is pretty decent.

So yeah guys I would go check out their mascara guide. You can check it out here. I think it's very helpful, and you can read up about all the research they did. Thanks for viewing this post, and I hope I could help you guys out with finding a good mascara.

Also guys just so you know I really don't like to flood my blog with too many ads. But when I do things like this it's because I think you guys would enjoy it, or get something out of it. So just to get that out there. I love collaborating with people, and I would love to do collaborations in the future. So hey shoot me an email, I'm an open person.

5 Easy Things That You Can Do To Stay Motivated

Hey guys I'm back with another post. I got a rhetorical question for you, do you find it hard to stay motivated sometimes? I'm guessing your answer is yes because let's be real it can be hard to stay motivated sometimes.

I find myself struggling to stay motivated when it comes to summer break because it's lazy, I'm off from school, and I pretty much just want to relax. This summer I've really been focusing on my blog, and let me tell you I have not been slacking off on my blog. This summer I've really been putting a lot of energy into my blog, but sometimes it makes it so I lose motivation in other areas. So I thought I would gather information from my best friend google, and make this dittly darn post.

1)Be Positive
Being positive will benefit you when trying to stay motivated, because what person is going to stay motivated when they are being negative. So try to stay positive, and think of what positive things will come out of working hard for your outcome.

2)Get Organized
Start to think about what you're trying to accomplish, and really try to set your mind to one specific thing. Really have a grasp of what you're trying to do to accomplish your goals. Then take note of what you can do to stay on top of it. And then later take action on those things that you took note of.

3)Eliminate distractions
If you're trying to accomplish something, and a barrier comes in the way, try your best to eliminate that barrier. Sometimes we can't remove the barrier based on reasons, it just all depends on your situation. But just try to stay on top of accomplishing whatever it is that you may be trying to accomplish.

4)Don't take anything too seriously
Don't treat it like it's life or death, you will be okay. Just take it easy, and work hard, and you will achieve your goal, or at least give it a good punch. Take breaks when needed, and just work hard at it, but not too hard.

5)Do it now, not later
You will never achieve anything if you keep putting off everything until the last minute. If you want results, you have to start now. And chances are the longer you wait, the less motivated you will be to do whatever you need to do. For example this summer I wanted to really focus on my blog because I have time to do so, and I took a jab at it, and now my page views have nearly doubled. So start now.

That is all my tips for staying motivated, I hope I helped some of you guys out. Be sure to follow me on my social media if you haven't already, and I'll see you guys on Friday with another post.

My Favorite Summer Look

Hey guys, I thought today I would share my favorite summer look. I'm collaborating with another blogger named Chrisa for this post. I love all her looks, she puts together the cutest outfits. She's a fashion and lifestyle blogger, a youtuber, and a model. She's doing her favorite summer look on her blog too. So if you guys want to check out what shes got, I'll link all her stuff at the end. So let's get into this look.

I just love denim paired with white, in my opinion it's just the best combination ever. It creates the perfect summery vibe. It's also airy because it does not attract the sun. Also guys since my personal photographer (Gabs) is in Bermuda right now, I've had the funniest setup for how I take my pictures. I literally have been setting up a chair, and putting my phone on a self timer. I think these pictures turned out great through. It looks like someone took them for me. So aye I can't complain.

Thanks for viewing my post, get ready for more cool things coming up on my blog.

The Power Of No Makeup

No makeup. It's every girl's biggest fear it seems. But it's really not as bad as you may think. Lately I've been rocking the no makeup look because it's summer break, and it's like who am I trying to impress? In school I feel social pressure to fit in, and look good because everyone is so quick to judge it seems. But when it's summer break I feel like I can detox from trying to be perfectly presentable. Honestly with or without makeup, I look pretty good. I think all of us deserve to be comfortable in our own skin. We all deserve to feel like we don't have to put on a whole face of makeup, and completely change our appearance to impress society or make us feel better about our insecurities. Because no matter how many times you powder your face, you're the same person underneath. So I say for all you beauty guru's out there, try wearing no makeup for one day and see how it made you feel. I'm sure you felt more natural, or maybe even comfortable in your own skin. Just see. I think it's very powerful when you wear no makeup because it shows how confident you are with your natural self. It shows that you can conquer the world, and not care about people's view of you as much as if you were wearing makeup.

It's been really nice not wearing makeup. I feel very comfortable in my own skin, and it's becoming the norm for me. When I wear makeup, all I wear is mascara, so I'm pretty bare anyways. But going completely bare feels great. What I like about not wearing makeup is that I don't have to take off any makeup in the evening, so it makes my life easier.

Thanks for tuning into my blog, I hope I inspired some of you guys to not wear makeup, even if it's only for one day. I'll see you guys on Friday with another post.
